About Port Vell Christmas Market

Barcelona's Port Vell next to the Columbus Monument at Moll de Fusta hosts a Christmas fairground with children's rides, snack booths, an artificial ice skating ring, and a grand Ferris wheel that is illuminated with LED lighting and gives fantastic views over the Port Vell area.

Next to the Museu de Història de Catalunya, in Moll del Dipòsit is an artisan Christmas market, Sabores de Navidad (Flavours of Christmas), next to the marina that sells local gastronomic products.

Despite being described as a new addition to Barcelona's Christmas fairs, this fair has been running for the last 20 years that I have been living in Barcelona and I highly recommend taking a ride on the Ferris wheel for the port views.

Visiting Port Vell Christmas Market

On December 5th at 18:30h the Christmas Fair in the Port will be opened at a stage in the Moll de la Fusta with a lights switch-on ceremony with light and live music show. Additionally the Torre Jaume of the Barcelona port cable car will be illuminated from 19:00h every day during the fair.

Port Vell Christmas fair Prices

• Ice rink: €8.50 (12 minutes) per person. Gloves recommended or can be rented for an additional €1.00
• Ferris wheel: €8.50 per person
• Traditional carousel: €5.00 per person
• Kids Train ride: €5.00 per person

The fair opens 5th December at 18:30h and runs daily from 11:00 to 23:00h till the 6th of January.

Getting to Port Vell Christmas Market

1. Nearest TMB METRO is Drasanes on the Green (L3) Metro line for the Ferris wheel and Moll de Fusta
2. For the Artisan Market at Moll del Dipòsit the Barceloneta metro stop on the Yellow (R4) line is nearer.

Use a T-Casual or Hola-Barcelona Travel card.

The Port Vell Christmas Fair can also be found on the Hop-On-Hop-Off Barcelona tourist bus Red Route Maritime museum stop.
