This 15km circular hiking route begins at Collada de Bracons, a mountain pass nestled between volcanic ridgelines. The trail climbs steadily along a forested ridge, passing peaks like El Tosell Xic, Puig Tosell Gros, and Puig de les Civaderes, before reaching the expansive mountain plain of Puigsacalm.
From here, the path traces a dramatic cliff edge to Puig dels Llops, a rocky outcrop with panoramic views over the Osona valleys and distant snow capped Pyrenees. This is an ideal spot to pause for a snack and soak in the silence and scale of the landscape.
After retracing your steps across the Puigsacalm plateau, the trail descends into dense woodland. The transition is striking—open ridgelines give way to ancient beech groves and mossy ravines. You’ll pass through Collada de Sant Bartomeu, then follow a narrow forest path toward Coll de Gallina, Collet de la Foradada, and Coll de Joan, each marking subtle shifts in elevation, terrain and tree species.
Eventually, the trail reaches a stile and gate. Look left for a descending path into a rocky forest corridor. This section winds through volcanic soil and cattle pastures, emerging at a U-bend on a paved road. Follow the road briefly downhill, then turn left onto a farm track that re-enters the forest.
Here you’ll find the Capella de Sant Nazari, a rustic chapel tucked beneath towering trees. Though usually closed, it’s a peaceful spot for a break, with picnic benches and filtered sunlight through the canopy. From the chapel, a gentle uphill path leads back to Collada de Bracons, completing the loop.

This route is car-accessible only, beginning at a remote mountain pass far from towns or public transport. Parking is free at a small lay-by near Collada de Bracons, located at coordinates 42.108361, 2.376559. This is the trailhead for the circular hike through the Fageda de la Grevolosa.
From Barcelona, take the C17 dual carriageway north towards Vic. Continue as the C17 merges into the C37 heading towards Olot. Exit at Sant Andreu de la Vola and follow the GIV-5273 mountain road until you reach Collada de Bracons.
